An LED TV is an LCD television backlit by LEDs. It is the most common and affordable panel type, offering bright pictures that work well in living rooms with lots of ambient light.
OLED delivers deeper blacks and better contrast because each pixel emits its own light, ideal for dark rooms. LED sets are brighter and cheaper, making them better value for well-lit spaces. Mini LED narrows the gap with more precise local dimming.
LED TVs typically last around 60,000 to 100,000 hours of use, or well over a decade of normal viewing. They are not prone to burn-in, unlike OLED, which makes them a safe choice for static content such as news channels or gaming HUDs.
